Patrick Shields is a full-time Doctoral Researcher at Munster Technological University. His research focuses on the adoption of Artificial Intelligence among Irish SMEs, particularly the people, leadership and cultural factors that shape successful uptake.

Patrick previously held senior leadership roles as a Director and General Manager in the hospitality sector, with experience of luxury, high-end operations in Ireland, the US, Canada & Australia. His work today draws on that background, blending strategic thinking with hands-on experience in aligning teams, upholding service excellence and leading change in high-performance environments.
